Hosapete (Vijayanagara): A team of Lokayukta officials carried out a raid early Tuesday morning at the residence of DHO Dr LR Shankar Nayak, confiscating silver and gold jewellery, cash, and land documents.Under the direction of Ballari Lokayukta SP Pawan Nejjur, four teams of officials, led by DSP Sachin Chalawadi, executed the raid simultaneously.DSP Sachin Chalawadi said that the raids at the residence, office, nursing college, and the under-construction private hospital of DHO Dr Shankar Nayak uncovered Rs 10.5 lakh in cash, 310 grams of gold jewellery, and 380 grams of silver jewellery.Additionally, the Lokayukta team seized documents for 11 plots valued at Rs 1.6 crore owned by the DHO in Hosapete city, along with one residential house, one college building, two rental houses, and a hospital building that is still under construction.According to Lokayukta sources, two cars and a motorcycle were also confiscated during the raid.
