Kalaburagi: For the welfare of the backward region, Kalyana Karnataka, the state govt invests in infrastructure development, including health and education, by amending the constitution and bringing special reservation in the 371(J) Act for the all-round development of the backward welfare Karnataka region. However, the central govt is delaying by not giving a matching grant, alleged Ajay Singh, president of KKRDB.Speaking to mediapersons at KKRDB meeting hall on Wednesday, he said he wrote letters to the President of India, Prime Minister, and finance minister over this issue many times, and also met them in person and requested, but no grant was given so far. After discussing with the chief minister, an all-party delegation will be taken to the centre, and a date will be fixed for it soon.
