Pic: Minister Shivaraj Tangadagi led the I-Day celebration in KoppalKoppal: Backward classes minister Shivaraj Tangadagi announced that the state govt is committed to internal reservation, with a discussion scheduled in the House on Aug19 concerning its implementation.Following his participation in the Independence Day celebrations on Friday, Tangadagi addressed issues related to the Justice Nagamohan Das Commission report. He stated that the technical issues outlined in the report will be addressed.“However, Govind Karajol and Chalawadi Narayanaswamy are politicising this matter. Why did they not implement the Sadashiva Commission report during their time in office? Hence, the BJP has no authority to discuss internal reservation,” he asserted.Regarding the murder case of Gavisiddappa Nayak, a youth from the Valmiki community, that occurred on Aug 3 in the city, Tangadagi explained that the investigation is ongoing, and the truth will emerge.“The minor girl involved in the case has also been questioned. However, the BJP is politicising the situation surrounding the deceased. If the girl’s mother lodges a complaint regarding the actions of the deceased youth, the govt will also look into that,” he assured.
