Global education expo for Karnataka students on Sunday

Bengaluru: Karnataka Vocational Training and Skill Development Corporation (KVTSDC), under the department of skill development, will host International Study Abroad Fair to help students from all economic groups access foreign education. The fair will be held on Aug 17 (Sunday) at Hotel Lalit Ashok, hosting over 50 leading global universities — all ranked among the top 500 worldwide.“This is the first time that an opportunity to study abroad is being made accessible to students from all sections of society,” said Sharan Prakash Patil, minister for medical education and skill development at Vidhana Soudha Wednesday. The minister urged students, parents and educators to make the most of this opportunity, calling it a “gateway to global education that leaves no one behind”.This govt-backed initiative will ensure assistance even after students reach their host country — covering welfare, academic progress and legal aid. Students will have one-on-one sessions with university representatives; spot scholarships and eligibility assessments; guidance on admissions, visas, financial planning, health insurance, language proficiency and visa submissions, officials said.
