MADIKERI: The Environment and Health Foundation of India cautioned against the illegal conversion of land for commercial purposes in Kodagu.In a press statement, the organisation stated that the High Court banned the conversion of jamma bane, sagu land, and paddy fields in the district, .The Karnataka High Court issued an order banning the conversion of jamma bane, sagu land, paddy fields, and coffee plantations in Kodagu district for commercial purposes as per the Karnataka Land Revenue Act 1964, stated the organisation’s Col (retd) CP Muthanna. He urged the residents not to buy these lands and warned of financial losses in case of illegal land conversion.
