Mangaluru: If everything goes as planned, a college offering a degree in politics will open from the next academic year, said Karnataka legislative council chairman Basavaraj Horatti. He told reporters on Tuesday, that the process to prepare the syllabus and other modules has begun.“This is an initiative taken up jointly by me and assembly speaker UT Khader. We have sought help from experts, including professors in political science, to prepare the syllabus that will have more focus on shaping a politician. We have plans to introduce a three-year degree course as per the suggestions of experts. We are planning to commence the course in June next year, in Bengaluru,” Horatti said, adding that the college will be run by the state legislature.
