Mandya: In a shocking incident reported from Haralahalli village in Maddur taluk of Mandya district on Thursday, a cow sustained severe injuries after biting into a country-made explosive device allegedly planted to hunt wild boars.The device, reportedly laid by unidentified hunters on the outskirts of the village, exploded when the unsuspecting animal mistook it for fodder while grazing. The blast caused catastrophic injuries, shattering the cow’s jaw and severing its tongue. The animal was left in unbearable pain, and unable to eat or drink, drawing widespread sympathy from villagers.
A case was registered at the KM Doddi police station, and authorities initiated an investigation to trace the culprits behind the unlawful act.
