Prof Shanmuga S Balasubramanyam’s body being retrieved from Matheran valley near Mumbai Sunday
BENGALURU: Bengaluru motivational speaker Prof Shanmuga S Balasubramanyam,58, whose decomposed body was recovered from a 1,200-ft valley in Matheran near Mumbai Sunday, fell to his death from the cliff after likely suffering a stroke, said police.Matheran police SI Ganesh Giri said, “He suffered a stroke a few years ago and was under medication. It is suspected he fainted while trying to view the valley.” The police probe had explored whether it was death by suicideAs per his brother and staffers of the company he was associated with, the professor didn’t inform the management about his Matheran trip. He was last seen on Oct 15. His body was spotted on Oct 18.
