Mysuru: Mysuru MP Yaduveer Wadiyar dismissed minister HC Mahadevappa’s claim that Mysuru ruler Tipu Sultan laid the foundation for the KRS dam, calling it “baseless” and “humorous.”Yaduveer, who is the scion of the Mysuru royal family, stated there is no evidence supporting this, emphasising that historical records clearly document the dam’s origins. “Everyone knows who built the KRS dam. During Tipu’s rule, temples were demolished, and pregnant women were killed. We should not manipulate history,” he told reporters.He accused politicians of manipulating history for electoral gains, urging them to present verified facts. Yaduveer also criticised Tipu’s legacy, citing documented atrocities, and advised focusing on constructive work instead.
