Why was she silent all this while? Prajwal questions survivor’s motive | Bengaluru News

Bengaluru: With folded hands and tears in his eyes, Prajwal attempted to cast doubt on the intentions of the 47-year-old domestic worker who accused him of rape. Speaking first in English and then switching to Kannada, the former MP addressed the court emotionally: “Sir, they say I have raped multiple women. But none of these women came forward voluntarily. They surfaced just six days before the election. Not even one came forward when the SIT publicly announced that victims could register complaints. All of them have been brought in by the prosecution to testify against me.”Questioning the timeline of the survivor’s complaint, he continued: “If I had genuinely raped this woman, she could have confided in her sister, who was working on our farm. She didn’t say anything to any family member. She never came forward to file a complaint on her own. It was only after the videos came out that she made these allegations.”
