The protesters initially assembled at Onake Obavva Circle before proceeding towards the DC office, pushing through barricades. Law enforcement faced difficulties when several leaders entered the DC office premises. Upon being removed, the leaders demanded to personally deliver their memorandum to the DC. A brief clash ensued when demonstrators attempted to enter the building forcefully. For roughly 20 minutes, tension prevailed as protesters voiced their dissatisfaction over the govt’s inaction regarding internal reservations. The standoff ended when DC T Venkatesh, seated on the ground, accepted their memorandum and promised to forward their concerns to the govt. The protest commenced at the old secondary school, with participants holding blue flags featuring Dr BR Ambedkar’s portrait. Following their tribute at Ambedkar Circle, they took an oath to continue their campaign until their demands were fulfilled.
