Former KMF president Bhima Nayak, who was a significant contender for the presidency, opted to abstain from the election.Among the 12 director positions available in the federation, Hitnal garnered the support of 8 directors, while Bhima Nayak received backing from 4. Only Raghavendra Hitnal and N Satyanarayan submitted their nomination papers. With no other candidates in the running, Pramod S, the election officer and assistant commissioner of Ballari, announced that both were elected unopposed to their respective positions.Given that K Raghavendra Hitnal had the backing of chief minister Siddaramiah, his victory was anticipated. Additionally, he received support from several MLAs in Ballari.After the results were announced, the newly elected president, Raghavendra Hitnal, stated that he had no plans to join the Milk Union. However, the former RABAKOVI president dared him to run for the presidency if he had the courage. “I accepted the challenge and ran for the election. Now, with the support of all the directors and the special blessings of CM Siddaramaiah, I am elected as president,” he remarked.“In the future, we will work towards the further development of RABAKOVI and establish a mega dairy utilising new technology. There is also a plan to allocate two director positions to Ballari,” Hitnal elaborated on his vision.Rajasekhar Hitnal, Koppal MP and younger brother of Raghavendra Hitnal, along with Ballari Rural MLA B Nagendra, Kuda chairman Srinivas Gupta, and numerous other supporters from Koppal were present to congratulate the new president.
