No shortage of fertilisers in Kodagu dist: Agri official | Mysuru News

Madikeri: There is no shortage of fertilisers in Kodagu district, said joint director of agriculture BS Chandrasekhar.According to him, the district has an adequate stock of fertilisers. He stated that currently, cultivation of paddy and maize crops is in progress in the district. “Sowing and planting work has been completed on 5,864 hectares of the total target of 30,525 hectares so far,” he said.“It is estimated that about 88,677 MT of fertilisers are required for agriculture, horticulture and coffee crops in the district in the 2025 monsoon season. Around 60,126 MT of fertilisers have been distributed to farmers. The remaining fertilizer is available and hence there is no shortage of fertilisers in the district,” he said, and asked farmers and coffee growers not to worry. Department officials also visited fertiliser dealers in this regard.
