Bengaluru: KR Pura MLA BA Basavaraj appeared before police Wednesday in connection with the murder case of rowdy sheeter Shivaprakash, also known as Biklu Shiva.This was the second time the BJP legislator appeared before cops to make his statements. On 19 July, Basavaraj appeared before assistant commissioner of police Prakash Rathod and was questioned for over three hours.Wednesday, he was questioned for over three hours by Rathod. Shivaprakash was hacked to death at Bharatinagar on the night of July 15. So far, police have arrested 11 suspects. Based on a complaint filed by Shivaprakash’s mother, cops registered the case against several suspects, and Basavaraj is listed as accused no. 5 in the FIR.Basavaraj told the media that he answered all questions posed by police and exuded confidence of coming out clean in the case. “Unseen hands are trying to fix me in the case. I am a person of clean image. I have the strength to fight and come out clean,” Basavaraj said, adding, “I will appear again if they (police) serve notice.”
