Joshi slams Congress over vote theft allegations | Hubballi News

Hubballi: Union minister Pralhad Joshi on Sunday launched a scathing attack on the Congress party, accusing it of making baseless allegations of vote theft in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. “Let them file a complaint with the Election Commission in that case,” he said. Speaking to reporters here, Joshi said Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has lost his balance. “Rahul Baba claims the Election Commission is dead. How did the Congress treat it in the past? Why did Congress postpone elections after Rajiv Gandhi’s death? They even carried his ashes in a procession to gather sympathy votes. There is a limit to such foolishness,” he lashed out. On the Mahadayi river dispute, Joshi said, “Karnataka had approached the Supreme Court against the Goa order. Earlier, Congress leader Sonia Gandhi had said that not a drop of water would be given to Karnataka. Now, the Union govt has stepped up. Everything should be disclosed as it is before the court.”Let’s wait for SIT report: Min on Dharmasthala case Responding to the ongoing investigation into Dharmasthala case, Joshi pointed out that the Karnataka govt has formed a special investigation team (SIT) to probe the matter. “The incidents are alleged to have taken place in Karnataka. What does Kerala govt have to do with it?” he questioned. “An SIT investigation is under way in the case. It’s inappropriate to pass judgments before the SIT report is out. Even Veerendra Heggade has welcomed the investigation. Dharmasthala is a major religious centre in India. If anyone is guilty, it will be revealed in the SIT investigation,” he added.Responding to Congress’s claim that the BJP is embarrassed by the Prajwal Revanna case, Joshi said, “The investigation happened and the court has punished him. So where is the question of BJP being embarassed?”
