BENGALURU: In a first for Namma Metro, a donated human liver was transported for transplant from Whitefield Metro Station to Rajarajeshwarinagar Metro Station on Mysuru Road. On Friday, August 1, 2025, at 8.38pm, the liver was securely transferred via ambulance from Vydehi Hospital to Whitefield Metro Station, accompanied by a doctor and seven medical staff. Upon arrival, the team was received by an Assistant Security Officer (ASO) and Metro personnel, who coordinated the documentation and necessary security checks.

The liver was then transported on a train that departed Whitefield Metro Station at 8.42pm and arrived at Rajarajeshwari Nagar Metro Station at 9.48pm. Another ASO and Metro staff received the medical team, ensuring a seamless transfer to a waiting ambulance.
