Implement infra devpt plans under CM’s scheme: Mandya DC | Mysuru News

Mandya: An allocation of Rs 50 crore was sanctioned for each assembly constituency under the chief minister’s infrastructure development scheme. Deputy commissioner Kumara urged officials to formulate and implement development plans that are genuinely beneficial to the public.Chairing a taluk-level implementation committee meeting at the DC’s office, Kumara instructed authorities to conduct constituency-level meetings under the leadership of respective MLAs. “Plans should be drawn up based on local needs, in close coordination with elected representatives,” he said. Kumara directed officials to identify priority works at the taluk level and submit comprehensive proposals within 7 days. These proposals will be evaluated by the district-level committee before being forwarded to the state govt for approval. He further emphasised that 75% of the funds must be allocated to core infrastructure development, including roads, bridges, drainage systems, and drinking water facilities — primarily overseen by the public works, rural development, and urban development departments. The remaining 25% may be earmarked for MLA-recommended projects like community halls, school infrastructure, anganwadi centres, and other developmental initiatives.Highlighting the importance of transparency and impact, Kumara stressed that proposed works must address genuine public needs. He also advised department heads to coordinate effectively to prevent duplication of efforts and ensure optimal utilisation of resources.
