Mangaluru: Devotees from Bengaluru, led by Kannadigara Rakshana Vedike president Kannada Prakash, offered ‘urulu seve’ to the deity at Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala on Friday to prevent rumours and misinformation about Dharmasthala. A release from the temple said to counter rumours and misinformation about the holy site of Dharmasthala circulating on social media and other media, and to pray for the swift resolution of all cases, devotees led by Prakash visited Dharmasthala and performed ‘urulu seve’ and special prayers at the shrine of Lord Manjunatha. “Dharmasthala, with its grand history and tradition spanning eight centuries, stands as a sacred place rooted in truth, righteousness, justice, and ethics. It has lakhs of devotees both in India and abroad. Such a sacred site should not be subject to misinformation. A special investigation team (SIT) has already been formed by the govt, and the devotees collectively prayed for the cases to be resolved justly and swiftly. More than 30 devotees, including women, participated. After visiting the deity, they received prasadam at ‘Annapoorna’ dining hall and returned to Bengaluru,” the release stated.
