Bomb threat on Bengaluru apartment wall alarms residents

Bengaluru: A bomb threat written on the wall of an apartment at Sahakarnagar in Kodigehalli created panic among residents Wednesday afternoon. Police said the message — “I am going to blast India from Pakistan” — was written by a group of three girls, aged between 12-13 years.Kodigehalli police received an alert about the threat at 1.30pm. Around 300 families of the apartment were vacated from the building and a search was conducted by the bomb detection and disposal squad. The threat was later declared to be a hoax.The apartment association said the message was not there on the wall when the premises was cleaned at 11.30am. Cops checked CCTV footage of the apartment and found three girls — suspected to be staying in the complex — writing on the wall.Deputy commissioner of police (north-east), Sajeeth VJ said a non-cognisable register (NCR) has been registered at Kodigehalli police station. The association is yet to file a police complaint.
