Bengaluru belongs to whole Karnataka: Shivakumar | Bengaluru News

Bengaluru: Deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar on Sunday said the state capital belongs to all people from across Karnataka, and not just to those in Bengaluru.Addressing a gathering at Kundapra Habba, a community celebration by people from Kundapura taluk in Upupi district, he said the priority of the govt is to create jobs, and it would consider the demand for an airport for the coastal district later.“Those who criticised the idea of greater Bengaluru said it would deprive Kannadigas of job opportunities. I told them they are fools as they must understand that Bengaluru is like the heart of people from across the state, including those from Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Kalaburagi and Raichur. They should not see them as outsiders,” Shivakumar said.
