BC Patil expresses disappointment over his unsuccessful attempts to reach Bommai in Delhi

Haveri: BC Patil mentioned meeting Bommai at a Ranebennur function on July 22, where Bommai indicated his Delhi visit plans. Following established procedures, Patil reached out to Bommai’s PA, who was the designated contact person. Although he was informed about Bommai’s travel arrangements with Union minister V Somanna, his request for a callback remained unanswered. “I did not receive a response for two days,” he stated disappointedly.Patil was interacting with the media here on Sunday.Whilst in Delhi, Patil met central ministers HD Kumaraswamy, Shobha Karandlaje, and MP Raghavendra and had a discussion regarding the Ranebennur-Byndoor National Highway and a proposed flyover near Hiremorab. “However, I remained unable to discuss the planned Sarvajna statue installation in Hirekerur with Bommai,” he said, expressing his dissatisfaction with the Haveri MP on social media.The former minister pointed out irregularities in fertiliser allocation, stating that despite the state govt’s request for 6.3 lakh metric tons of urea, the central govt supplied 8.7 lakh metric tons. He suggested possible corruption, indicating the state govt might have diverted excess fertiliser to factories. BJP district president, former MLA Virupakshappa Ballari, disclosed plans for a demonstration at the district administration building on Tuesday. “The demonstration aims to address concerns about urea fertiliser distribution to farmers and interim crop loss compensation,” he stated.
