BBMP employee in soup for felling tree | Bengaluru News
Bengaluru: The BBMP forest cell has filed a complaint against its employee for illegally cutting down a tree at Freedom Park.The incident took place Friday, when B Shivappa, a supervisor with the tree monitoring team at Gandhinagar, allegedly felled a strawberry tree without permission. Following this, an official from the forest cell lodged an FIR with the state forest department.Officials said the act violated established norms and procedures for tree felling within BBMP limits. The case is currently being investigated.
