An encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in the Harwan area near Dachigam National Park in Srinagar on Monday, officials said, as quoted by news agency PTI.The Army’s Chinar Corps confirmed the development on X, saying, “OP MAHADEV – Contact established in General Area Lidwas. Operation in progress.”Security forces had launched an anti-militancy operation in the Mulnar area of Harwan based on intelligence inputs. During the search operation, two rounds of gunfire were heard, PTI reported quoting officials.Reinforcements were sent to the area, and search operations were intensified to locate the terrorists. As per initial information, two to three terrorists are believed to be trapped inside the cordoned zone.
