Karnataka HC passes interim order, directs KSRTC employees joint action committee to put on hold their proposed strike for a day

BENGALURU: The Karnataka high court on Monday passed an interim order directing the Joint Action Committee of the Trade Unions of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation Employees to put on hold their proposed strike till tomorrow.A division bench comprising Justices KS Mudagal and MGS Kamal passed this order after hearing a PIL filed by J Sunil and others.Ordering emergent notices to the state government, KSRTC, BMTC and others, the bench directed the matter to be listed on Tuesday.” It is appropriate to grant interim stay till tomorrow so that outcome of talks which is said to be going on between the employees and the government will also be revealed” the bench observed in their order.While the petitioners submitted that the proposed indefinite strike will seriously affected travelling public, the government advocate submitted that the Chief Minister is holding talks with the representatives of the committee .
