Udupi: BJP MLA V Sunil Kumar said that a series of protests will be launched, demanding govt to continue the work of the Parashurama Theme Park in Bailoor, in his constituency. Accusing the Congress leaders of indulging in toolkit politics over the Parashurama Theme Park, the MLA said that the true face of those leaders was exposed. Protests will be organised in the days to come to counter the allegations made by the Congress and seek solutions for the issue, he said at a preparatory meeting held on Saturday.His demands include the release of funds by the govt for the completion of the theme park and opening the spot to the public. He said the BJP decided to hold protests at the taluk, district, and state levels in phases. A massive vehicle rally will be taken out from Karkala Ananthashayana to the Udupi DC’s office on Wednesday, demanding that the work on the Parashurama Theme Park be resumed within a month. A padayatra involving a large number of followers will be held from Ananthashayana to Umikkal Hill in Bailoor on Sept 6 to demand that the govt open the park to the public. Further, legal action will be sought against those who spread lies, the MLA said.Stating that the Congress leaders were responsible for the halt of the work on the theme park, he said that Congress leaders prevented the work and the release of funds. The double standards of the Congress were exposed, he said, adding that public awareness campaigns will be organised to expose the Congress.
